Apply Now to Transdisciplinarity for Early Career Researchers in Asia (TERRA) School 2024
Applications are now open for the 6th TERRA+ (Transdisciplinarity for Early Career Researchers in Asia+) School. The TERRA+ School is a short-term, intensive course focused on transdisciplinary research (TD). This year it is hosted by the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) and Future Earth Japan Hub in collaboration with Uehiro Research Center for Japan Environmental Studies. This program introduces participants to the principles, tools, methodologies, and practical applications of transdisciplinary research.
This year’s TERRA+ School will be held in person at RIHN in Kyoto, Japan from December 2-6, 2024. The course is free with a limited number of travel grants for participants from Asia being offered. Slots are open to candidates from around the world who are willing to cover their own travel expenses to Japan.
This year we are creating spaces for ideation and seeds for project development and space for developing collaboration with diverse participants. Currently, various opportunities for fellowships, research collaborations and transdisciplinary project engagement are available for TERRA+ School alumni. This will be a great learning opportunity for early career researchers and their participation will also allow them to be part of the network of Future Earth and RIHN.
Eligible candidates are the following:

- Interested or engaged in the interface of sustainability research and practice

Selection will take place in two stages.
- Future Earth members can nominate a candidate (at most 2) from within their networks to participate in the TERRA+ School. Please kindly fill up a short nomination form HERE as soon as possible or at the latest by August 30, 2024.
