Claire Weill

Science Policy Relationships

After working 15 years on statistical physics, Claire Weill joined the French Inter-ministerial Task Force for Climate Change. At the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (Iddri) in Paris she directed the Program ‘Risks & Precaution’. She then joined the cabinet of the Mayor of Paris as Senior Advisor for Research, Universities, New Technologies and Education. She led the organization of the conference ‘Our Common Future under Climate Change’, the major scientific event ahead of COP21. For a long time deeply engaged in a dialogue between science, policy and society rooted in robust science foundation, she shares now her time between Future Earth and the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA).
