Ramita Thawonmas

Ramita Thawonmas is an Assistant Professor at the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nagasaki University. She holds a PhD in international health, with research expertise in environmental epidemiology and climate-related health impacts. Her work focuses on the effects of temperature and climate change on mental health outcomes, particularly suicide and other population-level mental health indicators. Her research draws on empirical evidence from East and Southeast Asia and contributes to interdisciplinary efforts to strengthen health system resilience in the context of climate change.
